The ‘18th Dhaka International Film Festival’ (DIFF) will be held in Dhaka from 11 to 19 January 2020. The Festival has been organized on a regular basis by Rainbow Film Society, which has been dedicated to the promotion of a healthy cine culture in Bangladesh and in celebrating the global mainstream in film and its social relevance since 1977.

During the 18th DIFF, we are going to screen about 200 films, with participation from around 60 countries. The festival will have a competition for “Asian Cinema Section”, “Retrospective”, “Bangladesh Panorama Section”, “Cinema of the World Section”, “Children Films Section”, “Women Filmmakers Section”, “Short and Independent Films Section” and “Spiritual Films Section”. All the film screening will be held at the Alliance Francaise de Dhaka, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Central Public Library Auditorium, National Museum Auditorium, Madhumita Cinema Hall and Star Cineplex.

All the film screening will be held at:
1. National Museum Auditorium (The main auditorium):
a) From 10am, Children’s shows will start. All the children will have free entrance with their parents.
b) At 10am, 1pm and 3pm- All students will get free entry to watch movie, with their institutional ID cards.
c) For general audience, the entry tickets cost- TK 50 each screening.

2. Central Public Library Auditorium (Shawkat Osman Auditorium):
a) From 10am, Children’s shows will start. All the children will have free entrance with their parents.
b) At 10am, 1pm and 3pm- All students will get free entry to watch movie, with their institutional ID cards.
c) For general audience, the entry tickets cost- TK 50 each screening.

3. National Museum (Sufia Kamal Auditorium):
a) From 10.30 am to 7.30pm all the screenings are free.
b) Seating capacity: First come, first serve basis.

4. The Alliance Francaise de Dhaka:
a) From 10am to 5.30pm all the screenings are free.
b) Seating capacity: First come, first serve basis.

5. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (JatioChitrashala Auditorium and JatiyaSangeet and Nrityakala Auditorium):
a) From 10.30 am to 7.30pm all the screenings are free.
b) Seating capacity: First come, first serve basis.
