Mr. Moinuddin khaled

Mr. Moinuddin khaled is a named art critic and professor of Fine Art and Film Studies. A Film Society Activist Khaled has been contributing exclusively in different prestigious journals published from home and abord. He is co-editor of bengali film journal DRUPADI and CHALACHITRO PÁTRA. He performed as a member of jury board of Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh, largest international art exposition of Asia. At present he is faculty of Dhaka University in the department of Television, Film and photography, Dept. of Ceramic, Stamford University Bangladesh and Bangladesh Cinema and Television Institute.

Ms.Rokeya Prachy

Ms. Rokeya Prachy

Rokeya Prachy started her acting career in the Group Theatre movement in Bangladesh. She debuted her career in film with the lead female character of Dukhai (1997) and received National Film Award for her performance. She played the lead female character of most know Bangladeshi film Matir Moina. She regularly works as TV Presenter and gives talk in TV shows on national, international socio-political issues. She has made a number of documentary films, TV dramas, TV serials etc. She is also the most known socio-political activist in Bangladesh.

Mr. Ferdous Ahmed

Mr. Ferdous Ahmed

Ferdous Ahmed a Bangladeshi film actor and producer who also works as a model, a host and a television judge. He completed his Masters in Journalism from Dhaka University and learned flying from Bangladesh Flying Academy. He is the perfect example for indo - bangla joint venture. Through Veteran director Basu Chatterjee’s Hotath Brishti he started his acting career and afterwards acted in many films in both Bangladesh and India. He received more than 100 awards and was also honoured five times with the prestigious national awards as a leading actor. He has produced five films from his production house, Nuzhat Films.

Ms. Wahida Mollick Jolly

Ms. Wahida Mollick Jolly is a renowned Bangladeshi actress and an academic. She is Associate Professor of the Department of Theater and Performance Studies at the University of Dhaka. She is also a guest teacher at the Department of Television, Film and Photography (DU), Bangladesh Film and Television Institute, and the National Institute of Mass communication. Besides acting, she is also a costume designer and has worked in television, film, and theatre. In 2013, she won the National Awards as the Best Costume Designer for the film Mrittika Maya. Besides, she also directed numerous theatre plays in Bangladesh and abroad.


Ms. Arifa Pervin Zaman Moushumi

Ms. Arifa Pervin Zaman, known by her stage name Moushami, is one of the most desirable Bangladeshi film actress and director. She started working as an actress and singer from a young age. Her films have won hearts of audience and she won three Bangladesh National Film awards for Best Actress. She won the Anonda Bichittra Photo Beauty Contest which led to her appearance in 1990s, in Television commercials. She was named a UNICEF goodwill ambassador in September 2013. She has a production house named- Kopotakhsma Cholochitra. She looks after her own foundation- Moushumi Wlfare Foundation. She directed ‘Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti’, ‘Meher Negar’ and more.


Dr. Shahanara F. Chowdhury

Dr. Shahanara F. Chowdhury, working as Associate Professor at the Department of Film & Media at Stamford University Bangladesh. Other Expertise- Researcher, Actor, Director, News Presenter and News Editor (Radio). Worked in Theatre in Education field and the field of Theatre for Development with many organizations [Bournemouth Theatre in Education (UK), Save the Children UK (Bangladesh), Plan International (Bangladesh)]. Many research articles published in reputed journals. Dr. Chowdhury studied Theatre at the University of Dhaka, Theatre and Media at the University of Winchester (UK) and holds Research Degree on Film from Jahangirnagar University.

Rev. Fr. Bulbul Augustine Rebeiro

Rev. Fr. Bulbul Augustine Rebeiro: is a Catholic Priest of Dhaka Archdiocese. He is an editor of a weekly, named Pratibeshi as well as director of the Christian Communications Center, Dhaka. Radio Veritas Asia Bengali Language Service is running by his leadership here in Bangladesh. He did his post-graduation on Social Communication from Salesian University, Rome, Italy. From October 2016 he is the president of Signis Bangladesh, an association of the Catholic Media persons. He completed a diploma on Inter-cultural communication from Urbania University, Rome.


Ms. Bonna Mirza

She is a Bangladeshi screen and stage actor for nearly 25 years. Though she has earned enormous popularity and become a household name for her TV appearances, she has been an acclaimed actor for her stage performances and film roles. She acted title role in Rabeya (2008) that was much talked about. Her other notable films are Pita (2012), Headmaster (2014), Ghor Gerosti (2020). On stage she is applauded for Darpane Sharat Shashi, Nityapuran. She is also a regular voice on social issues.


Ms. Chaitali Somadder

She is an editor and filmmaker from Bangladesh. AFA (Asian Film Academy, Busan, Korea) Graduate of 2014, as specialized in Editing. After undertaking graduation (honors) and post-graduation (masters) in 'Related Art' under the University of Dhaka, she has also completed a 3-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Editing from the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) of Kolkata, India in 2015 as an ICCR Scholar. She is an Affiliate Lecturer in the Bangladesh Cinema & Television Institute and Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, both in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Mr. A M Mamunur Rashid

He is working in versatile creative field, he is a Painter, Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Screenwriter, Cultural activist, Film society movement activist and freelancer film critic. He is a Bachelor of Fine arts in Painting & Drawing from Institute of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, ‘FAMU’ in Documenter Film from Film & Television Faculty of the Academy of Arts, Prague, Czechoslovakia. He has attended in many International Film Festivals. Rashid also a member of FIPRESCI Bangladesh.


Mr. Ershad Kamol Khan

He is a film critic based in Dhaka and a member of FIPRESCI Bangladesh. At present, he is a special correspondent of the New Age, an English-language-based daily published from Dhaka. Besides writing special reports on various issues, Ershad writes reviews on films, theatre, art and music. He attended a fellowship programme on Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding in South Korea in 2017. He won several awards as a journalist and earlier served as jury members in international film festivals.


Ms. Sadia Khalid

She is a screenwriter and film critic from Bangladesh. She graduated in Screenwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles and worked on numerous scripts in Hollywood. She has also worked as an entertainment journalist at the Daily Bruin in Los Angeles and the Daily Star in Dhaka. She is currently the Cultural Editor of Dhaka Tribune. Sadia has served as a jury member at different international film festivals. She served as a FIPRESCI jury at Cannes, Dhaka and Kerala. She also teaches film studies at different universities and institutions.
