Entry Guideline:

The 21st Dhaka International Film Festival’ (DIFF) will be held in Dhaka from 14 to 22 January 2023. The festival has been organized on a regular basis by Rainbow Film Society, which has been dedicated to the promotion of a healthy cine culture in Bangladesh and in celebrating the global mainstream in film and its social relevance since 1977.

During the 21st DIFF, we are going to screen about 252 films, with participation from around 71 countries. The festival will have a competition for “Asian Cinema Competition Section”, “Retrospective”, “Wide Angle”, “Tribute”, “Bangladesh Panorama Section”, “Cinema of the World Section”, “Children Films Section”, “Women Filmmakers Section”, “Short and Independent Films Section” and “Spiritual Films Section”.

All the film screenings will be held at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Bangladesh National Museum Auditorium, Alliance Francaise de Dhaka and Star Cineplex.

All the film screening will be held at:

1.National Museum Auditorium (The main auditorium):

a) At 10.30am, 1pm and 3pm- All students will get free entry to watch movies, with their institutional ID cards.

b) For the general audience, from 10.30 am to 7.00pm the complementary entry passes can be collected from downstairs booth in the venue.

2. National Museum (Sufia Kamal Auditorium):
a) From 10.30 am to 7.00pm all the screenings are free.
b) Seating capacity: First come, first serve basis.

3. Alliance Francaise de Dhaka
a) From 10.30 am to 7.00pm all the screenings are free.
b) Seating capacity: First come, first serve basis.

 4. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy: Jatiya Sangeet and Nrityakala Auditorium.

a) From 10.30am, Children’s shows will start. All the children will have free entrance with their parents.

b) From 10.30 am to 5.00pm all the screenings are free.

c) Seating capacity: First come, first serve basis.

5. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy: Jatio Chitrashala Auditorium.

a) From 10.30 am to 5.00pm all the screenings are free.
b) Seating capacity: First come, first serve basis.

6. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Nandan Theater, Open air screening:

a) From 6.30pm all the screenings are free.
b) Seating capacity: First come, first serve basis.
